• United Austrian Iron and Steel Factories (VOEST), Linz, Austria (June 1972 - August 1972 ).
• Egyptian Army: Reserve Officer in the Signal Corps ( October 1974 - December 1975 ).
• Cairo  University,  Cairo,  Egypt:  Instructor  and  Demonstrator  at the Department of  Electrical  Engineering ( Electronics  and  Communications ) ( August 1974 - August 1976 ).
• University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, Illinois, U. S. A.: Research Assistant at the Electromagnetics Laboratory ( August 1976 - May 1980 ).
• University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, Illinois, U. S. A.: Research Consultant to the Ionosphere Laboratory ( June 1980 - August 1980 ).
• King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: first as Assistant Professor (1980 - 1984), then as Associate Professor (1984 - 1989) and finally as Full Professor ( 1989 - now ) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Also, acted as Head and Coordinator of the Computer Engineering Group within that department (1991 - now).
